- "Top Cat Incentives" - CHS is proud to recognize and value student academic achievement and success. These students are recognized as Top Cats. Top Cats are classified into three categories: 1) Bronze - 2.5 G.P.A. to 3.2 G.P.A; 2) Silver - 3.25 G.P.A. to 3.99 G.P.A.; 3) Gold - 4.0 G.P.A. In celebration of these academic achievements, CHS will be offering the following incentives: 1) Bronze - Pizza Party on November 13th; 2) Silver - Lunch at Litton's on November 16th; 3) Gold - Lunch at Chili's on November 10th. All Top Cats need to see Gordon Sisk or Mary Prater in guidance for permission forms. Congratulations to all Top Cats for the Fall Semester!!! Remember, Go Bobcats!!!
- "Attention Parents" - Knox County Schools is excited to announce the 2009 Annual Parent Conference to be held on Thursday, November 19, 2009. First presented in 2006, the Parent Conference has grown exponentially each year. This is the second year of collaboration between Knox County Schools Title I District Advisory Council and Project GRAD Knoxville Parent Board of Trustees to offer a learning experience to empower and equip parents. The major goal of the conference is to enhance parent awareness about how to be an effective school-home partner in strengthening student academic success. Who Should Attend? Every parent/guardian in Title I and/or Project GRAD supported schools who has an interest in investing in opportunities to help their child to achieve success in school. Why Should parents/guardians attend this conference? Conference attendees will be provided: 1) Relevant and practical information on supporting children's learning environments. 2) Skills to assist in building students' academic skills. 3) Opportunities for networking with other parents and expert educators.
